NYC Ferry has a landing on Roosevelt Island which connects to Astoria,
Long Island City, East 34th street, and Wall Street on the Astoria Line.
The ferry is located on East Main Street, east of Tram Plaza.
 
Roosevelt Island can be reached via the Q102 bus from Queens.
RIOC also provides the Red Bus, which is free and makes convenient
stops throughout the island.
Strollers and shopping carts must be folded upon request of the bus operator.
 
The Roosevelt Island Tramway provides the most modern aerial tramway in
the world, running every 7-15 minutes from 59th Street and Second Avenue in
Manhattan to Tramway Plaza on Roosevelt Island.
Please note that the passengers must exit the tram at each stop
(either Manhattan bound or Roosevelt Island bound) and pay again to
return to the other side.
Roosevelt Island can be reached via The F-Train which links Roosevelt Island to Queens and Manhattan.
